We are looking to recruit a Highway Design Engineer the position will to be based in Winchester

Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in design and contract preparation of highway schemes

Use of design manual for roads and bridges (DMRB)

understanding of NEC form of contract

Desirable experience

o     Drainage design for highways

o     Drainage design of flood alleviation  schemes

o    AutoCAD, Civil 3D

Responsibility

Undertake highway design

Engage stakeholder

Keep details of records

Update filing systems on progress and status

Mentoring junior staff

Qualification

HNC / Degree in relevant discipline

I.Eng professional certification is desirable

Several years of post qualification experience

Ability to communicate at all levels

Experience of either designing or reviewing highway and drainage design with limited direction

Working Conditions

Mainly office based

Regular visits to site

Working hours

Full Time hours
