We are looking to recruit an experience Project Manager for our client to work in Winchester

The Role

• Undertake handover takeover meetings with the Highway Development Planning Team upon

outline or full planning approval

• Set up and monitor the stage gate checklists on a scheme by scheme basis, ensuring they arecompleted at the correct time and that Development Planning are consulted at the correct times
• Act as the point of contact and overall co-ordinator when assigned to a Major Development Area (MDA)
• Co-ordinate and oversee the development requirements from a Highways Planning and Road Agreements perspective once planning has been secured
• Oversee and assist where required, with the developments S278 schemes requirements and drafting and completing of Legal Agreements
• Oversee and assist where required, with the adoption of the development’s internal roads and Legal Agreements, ensuring early engagement and sign up to 38 agreement(s)
• Provide advice to the developer on the processes and procedures required for the S278 or S38 process as appropriate
• Undertake Highways Agreements Progress and status meetings with the developer, their consultants and other key stakeholders
• Develop and maintain the Development Status Tracker detailing

Status of the S106 Highway requirements

• Assist with internal interfacing between Highways Development Planning Team, Highways Development Agreements Team, internal consultees and others as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Developers and encouraging the adoption of internal roads

• Client facing skills with political awareness and sensitivity, understanding of corporate policies and strategies and knowledge of the legislative and regulative context – Essential
• Broad up-to-date knowledge of transport planning, implementation, highway engineering and planning policy – Essential
• Working across teams – Essential
• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with an appropriate professional accreditation (e.g. chartered or incorporated) – Desirable
• Significant demonstrable industry experience – Desirable

Additional Information:

Starting date for the position is Late September 2020

The intended duration is 6 months with possible extension

IR35 Status will be determined once a suitable candidate has been selected.
